Railway RPF Bharti: Youngsters preparing for government jobs should pay attention to the news that India’s largest employment department ‘Railways’ has changed its rules. We all know that Bharto Railways offers massive govt jobs in which RPF has a major share. Earlier this recruitment was done directly by railways but now there have been changes in it. Railways has announced new rules for the recruitment of Sub-Inspector and Constable (Executive) in Railway Protection Force (RPF). The Ministry of Railways has released the revised rules, which include information like physical criteria, age limit and exam pattern.

The purpose of these changes is to align the RPF recruitment process with the norms followed by the Central Armed Police Forces. The new rules came into effect upon publication in the Gazette of India.

Changed age limit
As per the new RPF recruitment rules, the age of the candidates should be between 18 to 23 years. Earlier, the age limit for constable posts was 18 to 25 years. Age limit for SI recruitment is 20 to 28 years.

Regarding educational qualifications, 10th pass is required for constable recruitment and graduation from a recognized university is required for SI posts.

Altered physical parameters
Physical criteria for RPF recruitment have also changed. Till now, the minimum height requirement was 165 cm. Now it has been increased to 170 cm. Additionally, the bust has been reduced to 80 cm without expansion and 85 cm with expansion.

Changes in the medical test process
Till now, RPF medical officers mainly conducted medical tests for RPF recruits. Now, this procedure will be done by CAPF Medical Officers or Grade 1 Government Medical Officers.
